Thanks for the nice translation "for crying out loud", which is completely new to me. As a non-native English speaker, all I can think of is "already (=都)", hehe.

The measure word 封, which connotes "sealed", is usually used for things put in envelopes or something like that, for example, 一封信 and 两份文件. You should use 一袋饼干 for "a bag of biscuits".
一份油炸茄子 a plate (or portion) of fried eggplant
一盘茄子 a plate of eggplants
一打鸡蛋 (yi1da2 ji1dan4) a dozen of eggs
一股大蒜味 a whiff of garlic

哪儿 is merely the colloquial form of 哪里, and this is the reason the professor always uses 哪儿 in conversation. I believe he uses 哪里 in his academic papers. The same is true for 这里/这儿 and 那里/那儿.

I agree. I don't know why, but Chinesepod doesn't seem to be skilled in "propaganda", even though they've already been doing business in the PRC for several years. They should learn from 中共中央宣传部!
