Hi henning, VO verbs like 洗个澡 are really big headaches. The below are some examples. 帮个忙 结个婚 离个婚 游个泳 吵个架 打个架 毕个业 照个相 见个面 做个梦 握个手 道个歉 Even non-VO verbs are sometimes used in this way. 大个便 小个便.......Wow!

Looks like every guy is struggling with the issue of getting reimbursed just like me. Here is a helpful phrase commonly used. 开票(kai1piao4) ＝开发票(kai1fa1piao4) ＝make out a receipt or invoice 请给我开票吧＝Please give me a receipt.

Hi AZERDocMom, Let me help you solve the problem. 脚踏车 is a dialect word mainly used in Taiwan and some parts of south China, including Shanghai area. In Hong Kong, they call a bicycle 单车(dan1che1). I think 脚踏车 is a much more appropriate word for a bicycle than 自行车, because at least my bicycle never goes automatically. The number of Google hits. 自行车 18,900,000 脚踏车 1,560,000 I have never heard the word “spinning” in the context of bicycles. Its translations perhaps may be 动感自行车 or 动感单车 according to Google, though not sure.

Hi AZERDocMom, I basically love eating Chinese cuisine except for some of extremely exotic dishes, but noodles here in China never fail to disappoint me. Perhaps you might be able to enjoy tasty noodles in southern China, not in 东北.
