Instead, I apt to study Chinese by relying mainly on my eyes, i.e. through reading, not listening. As the result, I regret that my listening comprehension has never been improved. On the contrary, you luckily trained your ears first during your long stay in Taiwan, which I think is the ideal way to learn foreign languages. I'm envious! September 19, 2007 at 7:38 AMHi mikeinjubei, I've been to SLC once. That was a day trip from San Francisco, and I did not have time even for drinking then. Anyway, SLC seems not be an ideal place for an ungodly drinker just like me.
