June 5, 2012 at 12:57 PMThis is a note for the tech department - please forward.
In the Grammar section, the audio does not play for the sentences in the first section (bei). The audio for the other two sections, lao and bu, works fine.

June 2, 2012 at 4:06 PMThis sentence is in the Grammar section:
啊呀对不起我忘记带钱包了你能付午饭的钱吗
āyā, duìbuqì。 wǒ wàngjì dài qiánbāo le。 nǐ néng fù wǔfàn de qián ma?
Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot to bring my wallet. Can you pay for lunch?
对不起 is given as duìbuqì. Is qi4 a typo for qi3, or is it an alternate pronunciation?

Instead of 再, could you use 才? Would it mean the same thing?
Same question with this sentence:
你先不要动,等车停稳了再下车。

May 13, 2012 at 5:43 PMPersonal, I prefer translations that stick close to the original. One useful exercise is to try to translate from the English back to the Chinese. The looser the English, the harder it is to know when one's translation is correct.

May 5, 2012 at 5:41 AMGood lesson.
I wish, though, that you had also mentioned 别. I'm uncertain as to whether it is fully interchangeable with 不要 in the sense of "don't".
