Handy lesson and timing uncanny.

But for a different reason. I've used a lock smith

for forgetting keys and lately installing better locks due to an increase in break ins... bit scary. But this vocabs really helpful cheers.

Its funny im from Perth Australia currently living in Zhuhai.

I didnt realise how clean and beautiful we have it there until i came to China. But like i say to my Chinese friends clean air and beaches dont make me happy, its people. I find Austrlalias culture a little lonely compared to chinese culture. Its hard to hide here. In Australia i find its easy to get into the ruitine of going to work going home and not really speaking to anyone or doing any kind of social activities. For me in China going for a walk is a social activity because its like a cimmunity where im living.

The culture here is so different. I fear for the loniless type culture of Australia.

This is great. Buying fruit is just about a daily thing for me/us in China. Like the vocab used. I'm gonna go out there and try to sound fluent. :) Cheers.

This is what i did. I found that i practiced typing with chinese people using a translator that had pinyin. Google tranlate works well it has characters and pinyin.

So you can start a convo with 吃饭了吗 or 你好啊 then they will respond. Throw it in the translator and see what they say. Of course the translator is very literal at times and the wrong meaning has come across. So be aware of this.

But its a good hands on way to learn off the book stuff.

Be prepared to hear 什么意思 lots and lots though.

What does that mean? 什么意思 shen2 me yi4 si.

Typing is handy because many times you wont understand what they say so you can start typing. :)

Load a pinyin keyboard into your phone or device.

You will soon start to recognise daily usage characters.
