August 10, 2013 at 8:13 AMMate I hear ya. I'm Aus myself... Had the exact same thoughts first time I went back to Aus after being here. The people in general in Aus seem big and scary after living in China. I don't really like this about Australia.

August 7, 2013 at 4:07 PMFWIW. I've lived in china now for nearly 7 months on two occasions. This being my second time here. I have always slept with a fan or air conditioner on. Always for many years every night without fail. When I came to China. Same thing. I'm not superstitious but i had quite a few colds while I was here the first time. Quite bad ones. This time around I'm in summer... But not sleeping with a fan on but do have aircon on. Not had one cold touch wood. I'm thinking the fan is a problem. As well as the aircon. But no fan no cold so far so good.... I should note I think the first time here I was acclimatising to the 空气 here. I had a sore throat for months. Maybe it was the fan I don't know. But no sore throat or colds this time.

August 15, 2013 at 11:48 AMWell guys I just faced my first typhoon in China. Utor. Was pretty hairy. I'm from Perth Australia we never have things like that. Earth quakes, floods, tornadoes, cyclones. Glad it's calming down. Was within the circular projected path that is often shown on the map as to where the typhoon is headed.
