Many sentences with háishì here.

I guess nevertheless is also a suitable translation in the context of this lesson(?)

I'm at work and don't have time to check this out right now but I think the le and future is dealt with in this podcast: qing wen.

I think it is easier to understand that 他们都要走了 is in the future because of the yao4...le5 structure, compared to 我先走了.

Now, if 我先走了 is in the future, how would one say "I left first"?
