November 4, 2011 at 7:36 PMListening to the main mp3 of this lesson I have a few recommendations. Jenny, you speak English so well, but you need to speak in full and complete English sentences. When you mix one or two English words with a few Chinese words it's confusing and is becomes sloppy practice for those of us who like to listen to the recordings for more than a few times. John, the main topic of this story was Bachelor Party, so the Chinese term for bachelor party was given and needed to be used, not the English term, which you repeated far too many times during the lesson, again mixed with Chinese. You would do your Chinese learners a great service if you could speak in full complete Chinese sentences, afterall it is good practice to hear good complete Chinese sentences.
I've got an idea for John and Jenny. Let Jenny express herself in full English sentences and let John respond in full complete Chinese sentences and vice versa, but get out of the habit of speaking Chinese/English gibberish, it's hard to follow and does not make for an optimal learing experience.

Hot water sounds so boring but I admire your good habits and maturity.
我喜欢跑的长途。 听说跑了以后最好健康的饮料是巧克力奶，不过我在中国的时候, 什么奶制品都不喝/吃。
I like running long distance. I hear after a long run a very healthy drink to have is chocolate milk! But, when I'm in China I stay away from all dairy products.

My wife always makes the best barbecued pork buns. Inside is just barbecued pork and sauce, but her mother always tries to improve on it and usually over does it.

October 16, 2011 at 2:31 AMGoogle how to type Chinese on your computer, you will get line by line instructions on how to install Chinese fonts and it's free too...it's as easy as typing pinyin and seeing a menu of Chinese characters (Hanzi) pop up for your selection. Anyhu, it's pretty easy typing Chinese these days...
