Ken was a funny guy. I liked the twist of him having a Chinese name (Kien) and the Chinese teachers having the English name.

Ideally, we could get everyone with Chinese names, but nothing is perfect in this life, eh?

one of the most surprising things about Chinese society for me has been seeing how provocative the average young woman dresses. I had the misconception that under the communists the ladies were more closer to the Taliban than they were to the women of the US. most women seem to gravitate towards wearing high heals, its like seeing an endless audition of women trying to get in on a Penthouse or Hustler layout.

So, what's 'stigmatized' in Chinese?

No one should have to deal with that kind of 'guilt', especially in regards to divorce and the so-called 'reproductive health' industry. The world needs more sociopaths and by golly, we are going to get them!

No language is 'stupid', that would be an adjective reserved for some people that speak whatever language.

Yeah, it sucks when there is not a good transcript for reference. Makes some of these Media lessons useless imho. Also, some of the links to reference the older media lessons are useless. So glad you are complaining, hopefully they'll listen to you. I also hate the dependence on the internet to study this or review it later, we should be able to download a complete lesson. Anyway, thanks for complaining. I hope they will listen to your points. Why do something so half-a@@ed? (pardon the French)

Mommy is a very affectionate and informal way of addressing one's mother.

我要听丽丽啊纳唱整个歌。I want to hear Lillyanna sing a complete song.

I always get annoyed (surprise, surprise) when I see the official logo for the police in China: 'China Police'. Guess no one lifted a finger to confirm the real English way to say this when they made all those signs. Really, can you take them seriously when they display such a lazy form of self identification? Well, I guess you should take anyone serioussly when they carry a weapon around.
