I thought it was amusing funny. 可爱笑?

If 期终考试 and 期中考试 are pronounced the same, how do you distinguish? Aside from using 期末考试.

Knock knock. Who's there? Lettuce Lettuce who? Lettuce in - it's cold out here!

Thank you so much for the transcript. Although the dialogue made me throw up in my mouth a little, this lesson was pack full of learning, for me, anyways.

What is the difference between 都市 and 城市?

都市 seems to be used more frequently.

There is a "shortcut" around the ticket booth. Sometimes I'd forget my membership card and I'd use it. You go into the gift shop on the right, go up the elevator and it takes you straight into the 2nd floor. You'll be walking around without the pin but no one really notices that.

我的工乍很打理, 我是真要有的.

如果你失道那里去, 你会找安静.

I had a stressful job, I really needed it. A museum, if you know which parts to go to, it is one of the few quiet places in a big city.

No, still optional/recommended. But seems like people read right past it.

I just join for a year at the Met and MOMA (some call it "momma"). Costs around $80, probably visit at least once a month. I used to work a couple of blocks away from MOMA and would go at least once a week.

The ironic thing is I'm an ABC and most of my relatives speak Cantonese and I'm trying to learn 普通话. Their 国语 isn't nearly as good as their Cantonese, so I learn what I can by translating from Cantonese to 国语 which can be difficult. I learned alot with regards to writing though.

Boxing Day is observed in Canada, but in all honesty, day after Christmas sales are so prevalent here, the 26th is pretty much Boxing Day in the US for retailers.

Most people are getting the 26th off in the US, but only because 圣诞节 fell on a Sunday. Usually the 26th is a workday.
