何方的意思是什么？在课文里没有任何意思，只是说‘he fang的。何方神圣表达她是什么样的人？一位神圣的？

February 28, 2010 at 4:14 AMthanks Connie. But what do you mean by 'optional'? Are they placed at the end of an adjective to emphasise it is a noun (that they ae describing)?
Would 那个小孩子是很有聪明的 not be the same as 那个小孩子很有聪明的？
Or is 这节课是非常好玩儿的 not the same as 这节课非常好玩儿的？
Maybe I can put a request in for a qingwen lesson on this use of 的 after adjectives， and how this is different from the 是。。。的 pattern。。。

February 24, 2010 at 1:46 PM大家好。我明白这个是一节特别老的课但对于‘不如你给我参谋参谋吧’我有点不懂。我知道不如的意思是not as good as比如‘我不如他的中文能力’，但这个字有没有其它的意思呢？其他的意思是不是‘it would be better if。。。？‘。这个是我字典说的第二个意思。在这个句子中 ‘不如’这个字是不是第二个意思呢？

February 20, 2010 at 8:50 AMhaha, 很有意思的一节课。amber你有特别好的办法关于偷偷摸摸地带你自己的酒。我和我的朋友去迪厅的时候也常常在我们自己的裤子里偷偷摸摸地带来酒了。哈哈。英国酒的价格太高了。带来你自己是那么便宜的。哈哈。
Why does connie supposedly hate jp? lol. She didn't deny it when jp kept mentioning how she didnt like him. Hmm....
I was hoping this lesson was going to chat abit about omitting the 是/...的parts. I have been listening to so much chinese recently and it seems like the 是is omitted so much. Often when the sentence ends in an adjective they just add ...的。at the end. Is this normal? Can all adjectives have 的 at the end when they are put at the end of the sentence...such as 那个小孩很有意思的。 这节课非常有玩的。 。。。
