Your understanding of "叫“ sentences is right, and the subjects of 这样的情况，你叫我如何面对？is "你"--a general "you", not a specific person. 你要离开我，叫我怎么不难过？你要离开我（这件事） or 你 is the subject.
Sorry for the trickier examples. Here is another sentence,
这件事叫我很头疼。这件事 is the subject.

September 6, 2010 at 3:16 AMThe use of the "是...的“ pattern to emphasize or specify the adverbial of the sentences: the time, place, manner, purpose ,target, etc. of a completed action. For example,
你是什么时候来的？Nǐ shì shénme shíhou lái de？
你是怎么来的？Nǐ shì zěnme lái de？
你是从哪儿来的？Nǐ shì cóng nǎr lái de？
There is a 《请问》for 是......的 pattern:
