@josht77 Nice choice of dishes, it seems you like what most people would call spicy food. Next time I'm in Suzhou we'll have to have beers and some Hotpot - we can get the waiters to keep adding bowl after bowl of chilli until we can't take it any more...mwahahaha!

@monica5 Flattery will get you everywhere ;) Thanks so much for your lovely comments. In this role I'm pretty much just being myself as I'm obsessed with food, so I wouldn't really call it acting. :p

@houban - Researching and writing this was a learning experience in itself. Glad we've whet your appetite

@adventurer Be careful what you wish for, it may come true. lol. Seriously though, if anyone has any decent streetfood pics/stories/locations/names please fel free to post it up here or DM @themenustealer on twitter.

My nose still hurts!

@urbandweller You are too kind. Shooting this episode was really fun despite it taking so many takes (people kept on walking into the frame and stopping to stare at the camera).

@miantiao In my books, a good 回锅肉 huíguōròu is light on the black beans, heavy on the chilli.

@alexyzye Because it is such a common dish it's hard to say which place makes it better than the others. But I feel there's a mission here ... Anyone got any suggestions?

@xuchen I am a major supporter the 'more chilli = good' movement. Although I prefer my 宫保鸡丁 with cashews rather than peanuts. Ginger makes it taste good too.

Luke, it was really nice meeting you.

Watching the intrepid linguistic explorer take his first tentative steps into the wilds, then to see him return from his adventure experienced and confident ... priceless!

Through your blog we were passengers  on your fantastic voyage (maintaining the 3 day blog lag-time was impressive considering your itinerary). I remember my anticipation, waiting to read your detailed account of events only alluded to in your tweets.

To top it off, when you came back to Praxis - I just happened to glance out the window as you walked up to the main entrance, you had a definite strut going on.

Look forward to catching up again when you return.

In the meantime, I'll catch you around on ChinesePod (and twitter).

@gdhfjghnfgdssasfd Thanks for adding your input. :)

ChinesePod is working on a great many projects/improvements aimed at enhancing your learning experience. There are a myriad of things to consider when making 'tech changes', juggling schedules etc. These improvements, as they have been, will continue to be rolled out as they are completed.

I must add that we are lucky to have such motivated and understanding members of our poddie community like Light487, Henning, Bababardwan, Changye (and countless others) who contribute to the community in the proactive and helpful ways that they do.

Thanks so much!

Matt

@light487 Mr Parsons you've outdone your self once again - thanks for putting that pdf up.  Hope you are settling back in to Sydney life - but don't get too comfortable as I'm sure you'll be back here again soon. BTW got a surprise for you tomorrow (well not really a surprise - but I'm sure you'll be pleased) :D

我从来没去过波士顿,但我去过美国其他城市,比如巴尔的摩、华盛顿等。我在巴尔的摩的时候感觉那边比较安全,但我最近看了一部叫'The Wire' 的连续剧,他们说那边非常危险。
