September 14, 2009 at 12:54 PM@Henning, furniture in China is surprisingly expensive, well decent quality stuff is anyway. Not too different from Aussie prices.

September 13, 2009 at 2:07 AMI am going to miss sitting opposite Pete and his never-ending insights. Moreover, I'll miss our secret winter club late on a Friday afternoon: The Whisky Underground (on the deck).
Pete it was a pleasure, and I'm glad that we'll still get to hang out in Shanghai.

September 12, 2009 at 4:22 PMThere's a song by Aussie folk band Redgum called: I've been to Bali too. Bababardwan if you have a link please post one.
It pokes fun at the fact that in Australia (especially in the 70's, 80's) Bali is considered by many as an exotic and foreign overseas destination whilst providing the (trashy?) insulation of an Aussie like experience - Aussie music, Aussie beer etc.
Still, I'm sure it's very lovely in parts.

September 3, 2009 at 3:31 AM@paulinurus Another user was kind enough to point out the problem, which was the text (html) version of the dialogue, vocab and expansion that is linked to at the bottom of the PDF file. This has since been fixed.
@frognotinawell thanks for pointing it out in your PM.
I hated grammar lessons at school, but somehow I managed to write (mostly) grammatically correct English. Could never explain grammar well at all, just sort of knew it. Same with Chinese grammar - I don't think of what is correct as far as grammar rules go, I just go with what feels right after having been immersed in the language for so long.

September 3, 2009 at 12:45 AM@Mystic I'm so glad to hear that, this show is pretty awesome. :) Both Spanish and Chinese are important languages, but since you've got a foundation in Spanish, focusing on Chinese is a good decision. Once you get more comfortable with Chinese you can always brush up with SpanishPod.
