my wife uses Indonesian pinyin
so:
BU becomes PU
GAO becomes KAU
ZHAO becomes CAU
etc.

I'm just a beginner myself, no expert, but I do remember reading that it is usual to drop the 的 when you are talking about a close relation.
For example, MY MOTHER:
Could be: 我的妈妈
But is usually: 我妈妈

July 7, 2009 at 10:29 PMThe French equivalent of Chinglish wouldn't be Chrench or Chinch - because these are based on the ENGLISH words for French and Chinese.
I guess more accurately it would be something like Frinois, or Chinçais.
