August 23, 2007 at 2:58 AMvwkidd1, yes, you should. Most expats here have some sort of travel insurance that covers emergencies. If you're here to work for a company, then they should have some cover for you. Medical costs for laowai are even higher than for locals.

August 22, 2007 at 9:28 AMHey, Lantian, that's a good one. Going to try it out if ever they call me up. After over 10 years in China the insurance sales men have yet to call me. In the West of China private insurance is just starting to take off, it seems. Nice lesson, very useful vocabulary. Thanks guys.

August 20, 2007 at 7:27 AMThanks. Obviously not that excellent. I have noticed that I use 就 a lot, when there might be much more elegant ways and more correct ways of expressing myself...

August 20, 2007 at 2:36 AMman2toe, I know. I keep on telling myself to just take the time to download a few podcasts on my mp3 player and print out those dialogues, etc., etc. But now my mp3 player has stopped working and I wont go into town until six weeks later... The joys of living in the country side. Never mind, it is going to happen sometime

August 20, 2007 at 1:56 AMInteresting lesson. I wish I had more time to sit in front of my computer to listen to all those stimulating lessons, learn the vocab, engage with the community...

July 18, 2007 at 5:54 AMThis is such a good 请问。So how do I say "This is so good. I am going to listen to it again straight away". Can you say: 我马上就才听一次了???

July 18, 2007 at 4:22 AMCan't you make your exercises more meaningful. I find them utterly boring. There is no challenge to think and to prove that one has understood how vocab is to be used. How about you use sentences based on structures and vocab from the extension section, but not the same ones? I am the only one frustrated with the exercises?
