什么告诉我 - in the grammer this is translated as He hasn't told me anything.  But because of the '也' in there should it not be... He also hasn't told me anything?  Thanks in advance for any replies.

Here the same word 'kelian' is translated as hard up.  How can one know about her finances from this?!  Is a better translation to say I feel so sorry for her? It's seems a very hard word to translate.
