'full stops' instead of 'periods', and these () are commonly called 'brackets' and these[] are commonly called 'square brackets' - at least in my neck of the woods! But we understand what the Americans mean. No big deal.

At those prices coffee is more expensive than where I live in Australia, despite the lower cost of labour in China. But a jar of Nescafe is expensive for the locals in China too.
