Shanxi (山西) province is a mountainous plateau region located in northern China. It is know for its yummy noodles and the ancient city of Pingyao (平遥), which has become a world heritage site. But don't be afraid to get dirty! Shanxi is the leading coal producer in China and is also frequented by yearly sand storms. In this lesson, we get a sneak peek of what Shanxi has to offer.
