July 22, 2009, 05:18 PMChristine,
If someone comes up with a "Portuguesepod" and needs assistance, I will be more than happy to help! In the meantime, if your friend needs something let me know.

May 07, 2008, 10:14 AMNot to take business away from FrenchPod, but to get people interested in learning some French, a recommended way to study French (I used it before going to Paris two weeks ago) is at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/french/

May 07, 2008, 11:04 AMWait, everyone, I know you can't wait to hear us teach you French but we haven't quite launched yet! We are very, very close, though - what you saw was a little final testing. We want to make sure that it is 'parfait' for the learners so we're doing a little more polishing. Merci pour votre patience and we'll be online shortly.

May 07, 2008, 12:56 PMArrrgh. I'd been secretly hoping for a frenchpod... but I really don't need anything else to tempt me away from studying Chinese! I am soooooo easily distracted and such a procrastinator! But, wow, jia you. I have a friend email me recently from Brazil, struggling to learn Portuguese.... any hope of a Portuguesepod in the works?? I love Chinesepod so much, I can only support your plans for world domination....

May 08, 2008, 12:18 AMEricat.... it's even super exciting to see a new face!!! I'm so happy about this whole Frenchpod thing and me and my sister have both been cheering for it. WOOHOO Poddie-Landia!! (Poddie-Land) Chinese is definitely my main focus, but I've been sad about how the little bit of French I've aquired over the years has been attacked by my obsession to Chinese Learning. 所以,我要我的Francais回来了! Seriously, I remember asking someone "你 parle vous francais 吗?" not too long ago. LOL

May 07, 2008, 10:02 AMHmm... in the time between I went to FrenchPod's main page and it said "0 Lessons" to when I signed in and went to the lesson section, they had 3 lessons up! Then when I went back to the main page, it says "3 lessons"... cool. So, in short... there are lessons in French now! (now I can prepare for my second trip to France... and not be so scared to talk to the waiters and people on the street!)

May 08, 2008, 08:23 AMAnybody who can be bothered (and has enough free time), I've just reviewed the FrenchPod101.com launched very recently by the people behind JapanesePod101 and KoreanClass101. Look out for the thread in "Conversations"...

May 17, 2008, 06:05 AMYeah, I'd could have one hanging off my rear vision mirror, singing "Irish Eyes" in all Praxis languages. Mate, if that doesn't get new students arriving in droves, I'm a drunk koala! :-)

May 17, 2008, 06:14 AM哈哈.. Every time I see Ken's avatar I always think of some TV Cooking Show. He has the white shirt on that Chefs wear and he has the goatee as well as that "look" that just makes him look like a Chef.. Anyone else get that impression? :)

May 07, 2008, 08:42 AMHenning, Pod people will take over the world soon! It reminds me of that old movie and re-make - "The Body Snatchers," in which brains and memories are sucked out by alien plants, and replacement twin bodies are grown in huge pods. The "replacements" enter society secretly as they plot to overthrow the earth and mankind entirely. mmmm, there could be a market for this kind of thing :-) RJ
