Posted on: Discussing Craft Beer in Chinese - 精酿啤酒
November 20, 2017 at 1:56 PMSorry I can't explain this in Chinese, but I recently translated something about craft beer for a beverage trade fair, and the explanation was quite different. Quite some time ago, large breweries found that two types of yeast provided the most reliable results when brewing beer and they were also inexpensive, so they consequently starting using these two exclusively. One main feature of craft beers, at least in Germany, is that other yeast strains are being used. There is even an institute (Head of the Yeast Center, Research Center Weihenstephan for Brewing and Food Quality at the Technical University of Munich) that goes to former breweries looking for and finding older yeast strains. In the USA, US-American hop farmers had started to grow new varieties of hop years ago, and craft brewers experimented with different taste nuances, giving rise to the craft beer movement. These are used to brew "craft beers" and provide them with their distinctive flavors. The addition of flavorings is not part of the craft beer idea, although that might be different in the USA as well as in China/Taiwan. Correct me if I am wrong, since I am not an expert on this, but I believe this lesson is more on alcopops than craft beer.

November 15, 2017 at 8:32 PMIn the grammar:
zhēn méixiǎngdào tā jìngrán shì gè zhème suíbiàn de rén。 I really didn't realize she was so easy.
Is the meaning "easy-going" or is there some sexual reference?
