September 7, 2017 at 10:38 AM他 actually refers to both male and female. 她 is a very recent idea in Chinese language under influence of foreign languages therefore, today, when people use 他 it's not necessarily a male.

August 24, 2017 at 1:36 AM疼 and 痛 are basically the same. People from north of China tend to say 疼, while people from other places might use them interchangeably or tend to say 痛。
In Taiwan, 疼 is considered more of a formal and written way to express pain.

- A symphony orchestras is (交响/ 管弦)乐团
- 乐队 is more commonly used for marching bands
For a pop music group, Taiwanese use 乐团 a lot while in mainland you might hear 乐队.
There are also different kind of combinations like the Kpop groups. Those can be called 组合/ 男团，女团

August 24, 2017 at 1:09 AMYour thinking is right. 什么 and 吗 don't usually go together.However, this is common in certain situations. 什么 here serves as"any."If I only say 你有什么问题 it suggests there must be a problem/ question so it sounds rather rude.
If I only say 你有问题吗？ the expected answers would be just yes or no
so people often ask 你有什么问题吗？ (Do you have any question, and what is the question?)
One other example like this is ”你要喝什么饮料吗？“
Since the host doesn't know if the guest want anything at all, plus, the host would like to know if so what kind of beverage does he want.

August 24, 2017 at 12:53 AMYa. Fiona was probably just translating directly from Chinese word to word because in Chinese the negation "bù" is before "Yīnggāi" not before "juéde"
In English people usually say "I don't think so" while in Chinese it's more common to say "我觉得不是!“ （wǒ juéde búshì）

But “尝尝” this kind of verb reduplication is often used in command and suggesting the action is easy to accomplish. Since your stomach doesn't feel well this is certainly not easy for you so you wouldn't say that.
我之所以不尝你做的饭菜，是因为我肚子不舒服。
我之所以没吃你做的饭菜，是因为我肚子不舒服。
