If I want to say that someone is easy-going and not fussy, e.g. in regards to food, etc... do I also use : 他很随便的。 ?

我觉得学广东话也是很难,因为和汉语太接近了。我学了一年就放弃了。

clarence, I guess everyone perceives V3 differently based on individual preferences. Personally, I don't care much about traditional writing, so I like the new PDF with only simplified characters because I waste less paper printing it out to read while commuting. For me, the two extra lessons per week is a big plus.

As mentioned by changye, there seems to be several words that people use to mean ice-cream. I heard 雪糕 used a lot when I was growing up. Is it different or identical to 冰淇淋? Furthermore, how to say "low-fat ice-cream"? My initial guess would be 减肥冰淇淋, but I seem to remember that 减肥 is used as a verb to mean "lose weight", so I'm not sure. I don't eat normal ice-cream due to insufficient metabolism to burn all those calories.

user10405, I beg to differ, I think V3 is better than V2 after I got used to it. The best improvement are the two extra lessons on Saturday and Sunday. In V2, we only had lessons Monday-Friday. Surely, that is a massive improvement.

Good acting in this lesson. Really like how this story is progressing. CPod, please do not end this drama just like this. Maybe a sequel set a few years in the future would be good. If this was like one of the many Korean dramas I've watched lately, Lili and Zhang Liang would end up dead.

Very nice. I like these songs. Does anyone know where I can download more children songs/lullabies in Chinese? I want to get them for my child who is due to be born in September. Thanks.

What's the best way to say "1-year warranty"? I'm guessing something like 一年保证 . Is this right? Thanks.

Is it more common to refer to a restaurant waitress as 小姐 or 服务员 in Shanghai? What about a male waiter?

I reckon there is no way to answer this question. Here's a scenario that continues from kitty's response: 孩子 : 喔. 妈妈,妳从那里来的? 妈妈 : 我当然从妳外婆肚子出来的。 孩子 : 外婆从那里来的? and so on. I won't answer this question unless I want to explain about natural history, cosmology, etc. So the best answer is something like: 我不知道。妳去问妳的老师吧?
