Was that Jenny singing? If so, she has a very good singing voice.

Probably not appropriate to ask this in an Advanced lesson, but what does "掌上" mean?

Nice lesson, and I also like the characters in the picture. How would I say medium-raw (the way I like my steak)? Is it 五分熟 (5 parts cooked) or 半熟 (half cooked)? My characters input system uses "shu" as pin yin for 熟, not "shou". Under what circumstances do I use one or the other? Finally, does anyone know how to say the following :- Gravy, fries, mashed potatoes, burger. Yummy lesson this is. :) Thanks.

Another word for baby is 婴儿. When should I use 婴儿 vs 宝宝? As for dumplings, I'm more familiar with the Cantonese 云吞 (with soup). I think they are very similar to 水饺, but not too sure.

How to write the Chinese characters for the dumplings mentioned in this lesson? Thanks Alex

I heard some people saying something like "xǔ xú" to mean to urinate. Not sure if this is Mandarin or Cantonese though. Anyone heard of this? Alex

Hi John, OK. Having the "Explore" page default to my configured level is useful too (saves me one click). Is it not possible to just show the last relevant lesson (where lesson level >= user level) in the Study page? Is the link in the Study page generated dynamically by a database query? I reckon better default settings will help make the new site more usable, i.e. less clicks to get to what people usually want. Alex

Hi John, I'm referring to the Study page (the default when I first logon to CPod). Where it says "Today’s Lesson:". It would be nice if this default takes into consideration the user's configured level. Please leave Explore page as it is, so that people can still load any lesson if they want to. Thanks.

Ohh no.. I just figured out that with this new CPod site, clicking Reload on my Firefox browser is a bad idea. It seems to cause multiple reposts. 真对不起。 Alex

I've configured my profile to be Intermediate level, so I'm a bit surprised/disappointed I'm still being directed to a Newbie lesson today. Can CPod modify the Web site's code to only serve up lessons that have level >= user's level ? Thanks.
