Other authorities say it is hemoglobin. Maybe there is a doctor in the house? Actually, in English, the definitions of hemoglobin and hemochrome sound quite similar. From dictionary.com:
he·mo·chrome:
1. the red coloring matter of the blood
2. an oxygen-containing component of the blood
he·mo·glo·bin:
the oxygen-carrying pigment of red blood cells that gives them their red color and serves to convey oxygen to the tissues

The Chinese don't really have a word for 'funk', so if they use it in the context you mention, they will likely just insert the English word, or a Chinese transliteration, like '芬克 (fēnkè).'

To say it's fixed, you can say:
搞掂了！
(gǎo diān le)
or
好了！
(hǎo le)
To say it needs fixing or adjusting, you can say:
声音不太好，得调一下。
(Shēngyīn bùtài hǎo, děi tiáo yīxià.)

In certain contexts, 不 (bu4) can be used in the past tense as well, as in this sentence.
你怎么不叫醒我？
(How come you didn't wake me up?)

When in context, sometimes a question doesn't have to have a 'ma' at the end, but you can still know it is a question.
