Gee, Amber was really tricky. I rarely watch Hong Kong movies. I tried watching 2046 but just could not finish it, so don't use this movie in one of the future contests. But I would be very happy if Jenny chooses the movie with the following famous line: "黎叔很生气,后果很严重." I need a chance to win! ;-) Art 许冠俊

John, Do you think there's a poster out there in the Great Wall with your picture that says "Wanted: Illegal Rock Climber" ? :-) Art

Thanks for the lesson! I've been dying to find out how to say rock climbing in Mandarin. Rock climbing is a terrific addiction, I mean activity. Is indoor rock climbing called 内攀岩? Art 许冠俊

Jenny, It took me a long time to figure out why men from China used the word spicy to describe some women. Americans used the word hot instead of spicy. On the other hand, a friend from Northern China used 辣 in a negative way to describe 四川 women. The way he said it indicated that these women are kind of tough and quarrelsome. Then again, a former colleague from China of mine told me that 四川 has the most beautiful women in all of China. Art

Jenny, John or Amber, If a guy in China says, "那个女孩, 她是微辣,中辣还是重辣?“,will he get into trouble? Perhaps I should ask Amber and Connie to address this in the next 请问。;-) Art 许冠俊

张亮今天终于做了一个男人?我不同意。 我想张亮是个大笨蛋!Now that I've reached the limits of my Mandarin. 张亮's timing really sucks. He should have done this a long time ago, not before 丽丽 and 刘翔 are ready to get hitched. Here's an idea for another episode -- let it be final -- for this love story: 张亮 mopes for days and starts feeling guilty about being harsh with 丽丽. He decides to see 丽丽 one more time to apologize to her, but then realizes that it's the day of her wedding. 张亮 goes nuts, Dustin Hoffman's spirit takes over him and 张亮 reenacts the ending scene of The Graduate. He shows up at the wedding ceremony and starts screaming "丽丽! 丽丽!". Pandemonium ensues. 张亮 and 丽丽 get on a bus, head out to 龙阳地铁站, get on the Maglev train, arrive at the Pudong International Airport with the honeymoon airline tickets paid for by 刘翔. The scene fades and we hear the Chinese equivalent of Simon and Garfunkel singing the Song of Silence in Shanghainese. Let's not turn this story into a eternally never ending Freddy Kruger storyline. Let sleeping dogs lie! ;-) Art 许冠俊

I learned a few weeks ago that 放屁 also means b.s. So 我不放屁 can mean either I don't fart or I don't b.s. :-) Art 许冠俊
