Darn! Amber's chick-flick selection made me think of When Harry Met Sally, but I saw only a few parts of this movie many years ago. Therefore the dubbed-scene was not helpful to me at all. In the future, I'll send random answers to Amber in the hopes of getting lucky. Amber, can't you come up with a prize for the rest of us guys who'd rather let the women claim Dave's prize? ;-)

This is a terrific lesson. I've already put the lesson in practice through instant-messaging and phone conversations with my work-colleagues in the China office.

Methinks Jenny should stop by the San Francisco Bay Area and visit us poddies over here. ;-)

Bazza, Didn't you say that you're going to Shanghai? Why settle for a cyberkiss when you can ask for real one when you are in Shanghai? :-) Art

So any day now, I am expecting a Chinesepod email telling me: "Your subscription 要 expire 了!"To which I'll reply: "我快要renew了!“ :-) Now had Amber made me the winner of this week's Movie Madness, 我马上就要renew了! ;-) Connie or Amber, how do I say renew, expire and subscription in Chinese? Art 许冠俊

Bazza, I'd say it's unfair if the prize at stake is worth winning! ;-) Now had the prize been the one I told Amber, I'd complain loudly about the timezone difference. :-) Art

The people doing the voice-overs don't quite capture the essence of the original movies. They didn't capture the humor and sweetness of the actor and actress in the movie scene John chose. I remember watching Everybody Loves Raymond for a few minutes when I was in Beijing last year. Ray Romano's humor didn't come across as funny in a Chinese voice because Romano's voice and acting were missing. Nevertheless, I had fun guessing this movie. For once, I was able to remember a movie scene from eons ago. The clues were right on! Art 许冠俊
