January 2, 2011 at 4:50 AMIn how many cases can 上 be used after the adv.? Others I see frequently - 基本上, 根本上。Well I guess they don't need to be adverbs...

October 12, 2010 at 2:05 PMOh its 只有。。。才。See, I can't even remember the grammatical pattern anymore. Anyways, I think I got it now, thanks! Just hope I can remember next time I try to use it.
I got upgraded to the Ultimate version. Excellent deal indeed.

October 9, 2010 at 5:15 AMGrammar question 只要。。。就 和 就要。。。才 在哪个方面有区别?我好像把这些句子学过好几次但我还不清楚。
I'm always surprised at the efficiency of computer repair shops in China. Last year my computer crashed and I had to have Windows wiped. Well, an hour and 30 yuan later after the incident, it was fixed and my computer had been upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 (Chinese version of course). In the U.S. at placed like Best Buy, it would take like 2 days and around $20-30 dollars and without the upgrades of course.

October 7, 2010 at 3:54 AMActually, I've played a couple PC racing games with Chinese subtitles and the word used for finishing or completing a track is 完毕. I wonder if it is commonly used in other cases?

October 2, 2010 at 4:46 PMDidn't have time to edit. Should be 我向你很高兴。

October 2, 2010 at 4:11 AMIn some instances it feels like I can replace 向 with 为 and vice versa. For example, 我为你很高兴 or 我向很高兴. I still can't figure out when its cool to use 为.

September 4, 2010 at 4:26 AMKnowing all the definitions its still annoying to figure out which is being implied. I end up just picking whatever fits best and moving on. Also, is there a large difference between 由 and 由于?

September 3, 2010 at 2:56 AMI thought 逼 should have been in there somewhere. Sometimes I replace 让 with this just to add emphasis, but not sure if its correct. Help?

July 19, 2011 at 11:28 PMSurprised 关注 wasn't thrown in there somewhere. I typically see this associated with news. 关注新闻,关注一件事 etc. Shed some more light?
