The reality of modern day China is that - if you are a guy - the 3 gaos plus a bunch of other material evaluations are placed on you before any relationship is considered. Far more so than the west. Plus, also think interestingly timely lesson for MMs and Ferraris.

May 31, 2012 at 3:46 AMI walked from Crowne on Wangfujing to the Hyatt Oriental Plaza the Saturday night before last, and was approached 15 seperate times (no joke) for this and other scams - come to bar, come to KTV, etc. etc. I think it must have been the shirt I was wearing.
It is now at the point where I can see them before they see me. If I'm tired I'll just say -- 我真的不要谢谢, or, 不好意思我不会说英语. If I'm not tired, it is all good Mandarin practice -- seeing how long I can keep them talking and walking where I want to go, until they realise there is no chance I am going where they want me to go.

but more likely, if it is a "small" thing (noun)
the more the better, I believe. If a language only has 1300 syllables it helps to add another final to help distinguish one word further from another.
