July 26, 2014 at 4:32 AMThis dialogue appears to be between a father and his presumably grown up child, who do not live together. The child is complaining that the father is playing computer games too much and then gives the father advice on broadband.
This seems odd to me but what is even more bizarre is that the voice is that of a girl, but Shanell and Jenny talk about 'the son'. If the voice actor is trying to be a young boy then the dialogue does not fit.
It would be better if the presenters first listened to the dialogue before recording the commentary to avoid such mistakes. Sorry to be picky but the artificiality of the situation does put me off listening to the Chinese.

July 26, 2014 at 4:07 AMThanks Jenny.
I am surprised this wasn't mentioned in the podcast

July 24, 2014 at 5:28 AMCan anyone solve this riddle? Why is the music virtually inaudible for me but so loud for 23060?

July 24, 2014 at 5:26 AMOn your recommendation, I revisited this lesson.
It was a real pleasure to walk down memory lane to hear Ken, and the jingle at the end of the podcast.
Did Ken really call Jenny Johny?

July 22, 2014 at 3:54 AMWell the kid's name may be cute in Chinese but not so much in Englsh. It is well chosen here as doo doo means poop.
By the way, chocolate contains caffeine, and caffeine can make you constipated.

July 21, 2014 at 1:17 PMI agree - my impression is that people commonly don't use 在 like that. I wonder whether anyone will reply

July 26, 2014 at 4:37 AMPerhaps the apparent slowness of sites outside China is due to the intervention of massive censoring software and hardware.
