April 5, 2019 at 2:55 PMYes, here is a special way of using 味 as a measure. This usage only applies to Chinese medicine.
Originally, when someone is sick or has a cold, Chinese people like to serve the person 鸡汤 to help recover. But now it's typically used to describe some inspiring stories or sayings that encourage people to work hard. But there are increasingly more and more people criticizing this kind of 鸡汤 texts or literature because they are sometimes not true or not helpful.

April 5, 2019 at 2:43 PMI'm not a Chinese medicine expert, but I think 上火 can be translated as "inner fever" or "internal heat". Another translation of the same word comes from its Cantonese pronunciation: yeet hay or yit hei (热气).
It's like there is a fire inside the body. People who are 上火 usually suffer from sore throat, toothache, acne, etc.

April 5, 2019 at 2:32 PMGreat question!
Actually, do you know there is another idiom very similar to 祸从口入? It is 祸从口出! "入" indicates ingesting food from the mouth, whereas "出" indicates what comes from the mouth--what one says. So in that scenario, we should use 祸从口出 instead.

April 5, 2019 at 2:21 PMYou've mastered the art of 组词 and thanks for the suggestion.
The difference between 行贿 and 贿赂 is that 贿赂 can also be a noun, but 行贿 emphasizes the action, as in 行.

April 5, 2019 at 2:15 PMThese are great observations!
I agree it's strange to combine 解决 with 话题 and native speakers seldom use them together in daily conversations. But it is the original sentence in the news. I looked up the meaning of 话题, one meaning is 'topic', the other meaning is 'theme', which is similar to 议题. So maybe we can interpret it using the second meaning: there's been a theme in the society and it needs to be dealt with. In fact, it's okay to say 解决议题. But "解决话题" is not a good combination. Alternatively, we can use 解决现状 or 解决问题, as you point out.
消除 means to erase or to remove. We can only erase something that has already happened. Maybe what we want is
