Or is this “了” more the “早。。就。。了” pattern “了”？
Especially since 知道了 is more related to the present.
这件事大家都知道。sounds better to me。 Or 这件事谁都知道。，without the “的”。

November 28, 2012 at 1:45 PM不用 is obvious for things, such as clothes, etc. But can I say both 不用 and 不要 when someone is offering tea or food？
