为什么‘下’这个词是放在这里呢？ 意思是不是像‘买好了’一样？
还有，一般把‘的’放在句子后面，那个‘的’是不是总是表达句子是关于一个名词？

January 2, 2010 at 9:40 PMHey, I have started to listen to the advanced lessons and am hearing 呢more and more in different contexts. I never have really had a good understanding of how it is used. Does it sort of also imply a continuing/happening at the moment kind of state? For example, I often hear Jenny or one of the other natives say 呢 when they are sort of thinking about what to say next, or describing another thing... such as '接下来我们看呢。。。' or stuff like that. What is the meaning when it is used in mid sentence?
Can it also be meant as implying the continuing/existing of a situation. For example can you say ‘我现在在大学呢’?

December 9, 2009 at 6:50 AM你好chinesepodders!! 非常好的一个课。而我还有一个问题呢。这个课的标题是‘孔子标准像’。这个意思是 孔子的标准形象还是孔子像的意思是关于孔子形象的画？在我的词典里，标准像的意思就是一个脸的画-没有身体的画。什么意思是对的？

Could someone explain to me the usage of 活生生？I seem to keep finding different definitions...such as callously/malliciously/living/alive/to live? Is it just like an emphasis or something?

为什么女主角在她句子里用 ‘了’两边？Is this for any particular reason or just to add some more emphasis ('想甩了我了')

November 15, 2009 at 8:23 AMHello chinesepod, I haven't got round to the lesson yet as I am still on the expansion, but having a tough time understanding '活生生'. In the vocal it says to be alive/living but then in the expansion its used as 'callously' and 'mercilessly'. Can someone explain the meaning?
